(ThePoles.com/MountEverest.net) Louis-Philippe Lonke and his team reached their goal to distribute 100 kg Belgian chocolate at Everest Base Camp and to raise awareness for the necessity of a mobile hospital in Nepal.

Only Louis-Philippe and Joseph arrived at Everest Base Camp after walking for 20 days from Kathmandu. Norbet had al***ude sickness and had to turn back two hours from Base Camp.

Two days tasting

In two days Joseph and Louis-Philippe distributed 100 kg chocolate for tasting among the sherpas and climbers and presented the Nepal Mobile Hospital project. “Everyone agreed on the necessity of such a Hospital,” reported their home team.

Next few months

The trekking and chocolate tasting leg of the project is finished, but during the next few months the team will still focus on the project, “making the project known and also try to convince future expeditions in Nepal to raise funds for the Nepal Mobile Hospital,” they say on their website.

During April and May 2009 Louis-Philippe Lonke and his team will be trekking from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp to do a chocolate tasting with international mountaineers and Sherpas at 5350 m.
