NRN Australia Third Nation Conference was held at Ridges Hotel in Melbourne on saturday, 11 July 09, with the theme 'My Heritage. My Pride'. There were generous number of people that participated in this conference. This conference had two separate programs, the day time program which started from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm and the Gala Dinner which started from 7 pm to 11 pm.

The opening of the program was done by Nepalese Ambassador His Excellency Yogendra Dhakal and NRN ICC Vice President Dev Man Hirachan. Several NRN and ICC's respected members gave the opening speech. The program started with workshop regarding Nepal Cons***ution and NRN Role, where Dr. Hom M Pant gave his presentation about NRN Role in Nepal Cons***ution, Civil Society and Cultural Heritage and Mr. Dilla Ram Kharel talked about Global Scenario: Opportunity and Challenges for Youth.

The workshop regarding Business Investment became more interesting with the presence of more people. Mr.Goba Katuwal and Mr.Shesh Ghale gave a presentation about the NRN Business Investment – Recent Trend and Experience, Opportunities and Constraints and Dr. Raju Adhikari highlighted the importance of S&T(Science and Technology) in his presentation regarding Knowledge Investment- NRN New Platform.

The last topic of the workshop was about Skill Database which was presented by Shree Napit. At the end of each presentation audience were given chance to ask the question regarding the respective topic to the presenter.

The day time program was brought to the end with the speech and announcement by the newly elected NRNA President Dhruba Subedi.

The second part of the conference, the Gala dinner started at 7 pm - 11 pm with delicious food and good music. Top Nepali singer Ram Krishna Dhakal sang some of his song in this program.

NRNA Australia Third National Conference became a platform to NRNs living in Australia, to come together and share their views and ideas.
