Himalayan FC wins NAWS Soccer 09

Himalayan Youth Club (HYC) has won the NAWS Soccer Cup 09. Final Score HYC (2) - SFC (1)

It was a warm, bright sunny day and a good day indeed for a soccer final match to be played. Before the tournament final game, there was another friendly game played. The final game kick off between HYC and SFC at about 2pm. Plenty of supporters were present for both the teams. Some brought with them drunms so that they could be heard loud and clear while others were just screaming on top of their voices.

Most of the first half was a tug of war between the two teams. Just before the first half ended, SFC scored the first goal. HYC were down but not out. After a short break, both the teams were back on the ground and ready to implement their new tactics.

In the second half, HYC scored an qualizer. This brought the game back into balance. Both the teams having scored a goal each, there was now tenson as the game was getting drawn towards extra time.

In the first half of the extra time, HYC scored again. Now the tables had turned and HYC were leading the score board. SFC tried long and hard to score an equalizer and push the game to a panelty shootout. But their effort did not pay them off with a goal. The final whistle blew and the game was over. HFC had won the cup and then followed the celebrations.
