Kgarira was founded as an event promotion and management company when the founders felt the need for events specially for the Nepali diaspora living in Australia. The aim was to cover clubs, cultural events, sports and any other social gathering and bring the community together. After two good years in Australia, Kgarira then started its operations and activities in Nepal as well, as of September 2009.
